These details are for the Coos Bay area, but they’re very similar along the entire Oregon Coast.  A handful of miles inland, though, the climate is a bit different—warmer in summer and cooler in winter, with generally more precipitation as elevation increases.  And different climates mean different communities of plants and animals.
